I have recently accepted the position of Interim President at Paul Quinn College. I am very excited about this latest post. PQC has a long and storied tradition of providing a quality education to young men and women at both their Waco and Dallas campuses.

During my four month tenure at the school we have made a number of changes designed to improve every aspect of the educational experience of our students (www.pqc.edu). One such change is the implementation of a business casual dress code. Our goal with this policy is to encourage our students to embrace the standards of workplace attire as soon as possible. We believe that this policy will show immediate benefits both inside and outside of the classroom.

In order to make this change successful, we need your help. Many of our students do not possess the means necessary to comply with this edict. To assist our kids with this new policy, we are organizing a clothing drive aimed to create the “College Closet”. The College Closet will be a clearinghouse for the clothes we collect for the students. The goal is to provide students with the extra items that they may need for class.

There are a couple of ways in which we can coordinate picking up the clothes from you. First, you can organize a drop-off point with either Patricia Johnson (214-302-3503) or Katrina Glenn (214-302-3577). Secondly, you can arrange to drop your clothes off at Friendship West Baptist Church (2020 Wheatland Rd) by calling Rev. Mark Edwards at 972-809-4713.

Thank you for supporting our kids and our mission. Paul Quinn College is our school and we each can play a role in pushing it towards greatness.

Thanks and take care,

Michael
